Engagement Is The First Step To Marriage

Engagement is a word which is incomplete without any commitment. It is a very lovable word in this world because it begins when people start to commit to each other.

After all it is a word which includes love and care. I am engaged with someone so I can say that engagement is a really very lovely word in love. I have experience about it so I can say it feels very different. My husband proposed to me when I was at my home. He led me into the room. And when I opened my eyes the room was filled with roses and candles and he was on his knee asking me to marry him. It was the best night of my life, the roses even had little cards in them that read "Will you marry me?" that was my sweetest moment in my life. It is unforgettable!

People start it by giving engagement rings to each other after committing. Diamonds are the hardest, strongest and the most perdurable material known to mankind. Nevertheless, diamond rings need the merits of the proper caring to keep them safe and look at their best forever. Diamonds are at present the most famous stone used for commitment band, but this is not true always. Be aware of softer stones like the pearl, emerald and opal, which might have cracks inside or may be scratched easily. Long engagements were once common in formal arranged marriages and it was not uncommon for parents betrothing children to arrange such many years before the engaged couple were old enough to marry.

In 2007, the average engagement time in the United States was 17 months, but the figure around the world would vary greatly depending on culture and customs. Some couples choose not to label their agreement to marry as "engagement". This may be the case where one or both partners is marrying for the second time. In these cases, the groom may not propose in a formal manner and an engagement ring might not be given or worn. At last engagement is a feel from deep of the heart.
